Ramy has always known without a doubt that he wanted to work with animals. In fact, when he moved to Canada from Egypt at the age of 6, half of his luggage was dedicated to his collectible animal figurines! As he got older, he grew a passion for biology and later on, completed a Bachelor’s degree in Life Science and Animal Health and Disease at McGill. Today, he is actively working towards his goal of becoming a veterinarian and is currently in his 2nd year of study at OVC! Ramy joined the Liesse team in February 2020 as a receptionist but he is now mainly with us in the summer months, working as a veterinary student and technician. In his free time, Ramy enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling, reading about politics, cooking and of course, spending time with his dog Gypsy and her bigger cousin Twix!”
