Beatriz always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian, ever since she was a young child living in Brazil. She immigrated with her parents at the age of 12 and had to quickly become fluent in both English and French.
She enjoys learning new languages, Spanish being one of her favorites; but don’t let her fool you, her mother tongue is Portuguese! Every summer job she ever had was in the animal field starting at a pet store and ending in a boarding/grooming facility for pets.
Her education pathway was straight forward, graduating Vanier College as an Honor Student and heading straight to St-Hyacinthe for her Vet Diploma. She has been working alongside Dr. Langill ever since her first year of vet school and thinks of the clinic as her second home.
The beautiful cat she is holding is Rosie, her rescue from St-Hyacinthe who has followed her through her studying years and now through her veterinarian career. Her pastimes include working out, reading and wine-making!
